$100.00The Legends Chicago Backbore: Our most open backbore. It has a very dark and broad sound, and is ideal for a smoky jazz sound.
Two-piece mouthpieces make it easy to change your sound without having to adjust to a new rim and cup. (Any of our mouthpieces can be ordered as a “top only” in the checkout process.) Once you have chosen a top, add one or more of our backbores. Each Legends Brass backbore is available in lightweight and heavyweight blanks. Lightweight backbores have less mass, and are therefore less efficient. This creates a slightly tighter feel (or blow) and more focused sound. Heavyweight backbores are more efficient and have a more open feel (or blow) and broader sound. Our 14 backbore choices cover the spectrum of desired sound characteristics!
