Below is a short description of each of the blanks (or profiles) currently available from Legends Brass.
The Lightweight blank has the least mass, which adds lots of sizzle for a lead, solo, or “Las Vegas” sound.
This blank is a well-rounded balance of weight and efficiency. It’s suitable for playing any type of music.
The Heavyweight blank has added mass for higher efficiency and enriched slotting and core of sound.
The Vintage blank is inspired by classic Jet-Tone mouthpieces played by stand-out trumpet players of a bygone era. It has a beautiful art deco look. There isn’t a lot of excess mass with this blank, which makes it versatile enough for general playing but with plenty of zing for those solo and lead parts!
The Las Vegas Showroom blank is geared to the specific demands of commercial players performing in large venues where a good balance of efficiency and projection are paramount to good performance.
The JT blank has a look inspired by classic Jet-Tone mouthpieces. This blank is a perfect mix of weight: just enough mass to enhance slotting with a big core, but not so much mass that the sound won’t sizzle!
The Power blank is popular with professional players. It is geared toward lead and solo playing with plenty of zing in the upper register, but with enough mass to give the sound plenty of core.
The Spotlight blank is a great choice for performers on stage and in the studio. It’s a lightweight well-balanced choice nicely suited for solo and lead parts. Perfect for those who want to sound like a legend and look like one, too!
