Description
The Legends O Backbore: More open than the S, but tighter than the Chicago backbore. This backbore has a dark sound with a lot of core. It’s perfect for situations that call for a broad sound with solid slotting, but good endurance. The shank has been created based upon a #5 sleeve to make sure all horns will receive it. This backbore comes in our lightweight or heavyweight styles. The lightweight isn’t as efficient, so the blow is a little tighter or more like the #7 referenced above. The heavyweight is more efficient and blows more like the #8 referenced above. It is not a copy of these pieces, it just has a similar feel of blow. This piece comes standard with the Legends enhanced #27 throat. The shank is based upon a #5 sleeve to make sure the vast majority of horns will receive it properly. The throat is a #27. This backbore is available in two blanks. The lightweight blank is less efficient and will have a slightly tighter feel. The heavyweight blank is more efficient and will feel slightly more open.
