His early band “Chase” was a pioneer of the genre of music known as jazz-rock fusion. Its mix of sophisticated jazz rhythms and harmonies with driving and powerful rock vibes resonated intensely with his fans. His career was tragically cut short by his death in a plane crash on August 9, 1974. Fans still revel in the music he created, a legacy of three treasured albums. No one has ever matched the unique sound and feel of Bill Chase and his bands, and no one ever will. Legends CHASE 1973: replica of the custom trumpet mouthpiece made for Bill Chase by Renold Schilke in 1973. The rim, cup, throat, and backbore are an exact replica made from Bill Chase’s personal mouthpiece.
Legends JT BILL CHASE 1966 – an exact replica (including the backbore) of the custom trumpet mouthpiece made for Bill Chase by Ray Amado in 1966.
The BC Master flugel mouthpiece has an inside rim diameter of .625″, a deep flugel cup and the Legends flugel backbore. An added bonus with this model is that it has a matching trumpet mouthpiece, the BC Master. The rims are identical, allowing the player to quickly and easily transition between flugel and trumpet. The two together make a nice trumpet/flugel kit, perfect for those gigs where you want to play some intense jazz-rock and some laid back flugel jazz, too.

Legends JT BC, Inspired by a vintage Custom Bill Chase trumpet mouthpiece. The rim is relatively wide and flat and has some good undercut going into the cup. The bowl shaped cup is medium shallow (similar to Bach D). The JT BC is a modern re-imagining of a legendary vintage mouthpiece.
