Description
Legends JT MF C: a more traditional version of the JT MF. If you want the convex V Maynard Ferguson-style cup, but you struggle with the high alpha angle on the rim, this mouthpiece is for you! The cup is a convex V, and the rim is very round, but there is a little undercut for chop room and bite. The JT MF C inside rim diameter is 0.605″, and the cup depth is similar to Bach D/E. The Legends JT MF, and later the JT MF C, was inspired by a famous mouthpiece played by Maynard Ferguson. The rim on the JT MF just gradually melts into the cup, making it incredibly comfortable. The cup is a medium shallow convex V from rim to throat. The throat is a standard #27, and the entrance to the throat is open for plenty of air flow for a nice big sound in any register. The backbore is a Legends S (standard). The JT MF is versatile enough for everything from legit to Maynard-style solo and lead playing. Come on, “get on the bus” and give it a try!
