Description
This model is based on the Giardinelli MF1 created by machinist Jack Onque, and used by Maynard Ferguson from about 1963-1969. The inside diameter on the GIR MF1 is .590″, and the cup is shallow to extra shallow (similar to Bach E/F). The cup shape is a slight v-bowl. It’s not a straight V, but it has very little roundness to it. The rim is medium round on both the inside and outside edges. The throat is an open #26, and the backbore is the Legends Manhattan. Use this mouthpiece when you’re ready to “come blow your horn”!
