Description
This model has a rim and cup inspired by a vintage mouthpiece made by the legendary Al Cass. The rim is round on the inside and semi-round on the outside. The cup is medium shallow to shallow (similar to a Bach D/E). The rim and cup design are very similar to the original, but that is where the similarity ends. The throat on this piece is a #27, the throat cylinder length has been enhanced, and the backbore is a Legends S. These changes improve endurance, range and sound for most players. There are four similar L-AC models, each geared toward different playing styles. The L-AC 3X4 is well-suited for lead and all-around playing.

- L-AC 3X4: .617″ ID / round inside rim, semi-round outside rim / medium shallow to shallow cup / best for general and lead playing
- L-AC 3X5: .617″ ID / round inside rim, round outside rim / shallow cup / best for lead playing
- L-AC 3X7: .617″ ID / round inside rim, round outside rim / very shallow cup / best for extreme upper register
