Description
This mouthpiece was inspired by a vintage 2B made by Ray Amado. Consistent with the traditional naming system, the ‘B’ rim is not as rounded as the ‘A’ rim, and the highest point of the ‘B’ rim is closer to the middle. It is an extremely comfortable rim for the player. The cup is medium to medium shallow in depth, comparable to Bach D/C. The entrance to the throat is open so it yields plenty of air flow and a nice big sound. The Legends JT blank is a perfect balance: enough mass to enhance slotting with a big core, but not so much mass that the sound won’t sizzle! Although this model was inspired by a vintage model, this is not an exact copy. The JT 2B has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), enhanced throat cylinder length, and the Legends S backbore. This piece can be used for legit or lead playing. Slotting and intonation are excellent.
