Description
The Broadway Legit was designed in conjunction with professional trumpet and flugel artist Marty Bound (New York, NY). It has a soft, round rim, which is comfortable throughout extended playing. The cup is a flat-bottomed bowl similar in depth to a Bach D (medium shallow). It has a #27 throat, and the Legends Chicago (broad) backbore. The heavyweight blank adds mass to further broaden the core and darken the sound. This model has an open blow feel, with a smoky, broad sound, but maintains all the precision needed for legit symphonic and jazz parts.

Mr. Bound is a seasoned veteran of the New York City music scene. He can be found performing anywhere and everywhere from the glitzy Broadway stage to cool jazz clubs to bright big band halls. When not performing, he can be found teaching trumpet and working the recording studios. He worked closely with Legends Brass to design the Broadway trumpet mouthpiece, which is geared specifically for the needs of performing and recording artists.
This mouthpiece is part of the Legends Broadway Kit, which consists of the Broadway, the Broadway Lead, and the Broadway Legit. The three pieces in the kit cover the varied needs of pro players like Marty Bound, performing all-night gigs in jazz venues, in the recording studio, and on the Broadway stage. All three pieces have the same rim and cup, but the depth of the cup, throat size, and backbore have been varied to accommodate different playing styles. With the Broadway Kit, you’ll be ready for anything!

- Broadway Lead: Shallow cup (similar to Bach E), #28 throat, Legends Manhattan backbore (very focused)
- Broadway: Medium Shallow cup (similar to Bach D), #28 throat, Legends Vegas backbore (slightly focused)
- Broadway Legit: Medium Shallow cup (similar to Bach D), #27 throat, Legends Chicago backbore (broad)
