Description
This mouthpiece was inspired by the Jet-Tone Studio Model 7M. It’s known for the rich, brilliant, flexible sound it elicits. The inside rim diameter is a comfortable .656″. The rim is the traditional Jet-Tone B shape, with the high point toward the outside and rounded on the inside. The cup is the classic Jet-Tone shape and medium depth (similar to Bach C). Although this model has the Jet-Tone Studio 7M rim and cup, it is not an exact copy. The JT 7M has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), enhanced throat cylinder length, and the Legends S backbore. Slotting and intonation are excellent. The Legends JT blank has enough mass to enhance slotting with a big core, but not so much mass that the sound won’t sizzle! This piece is great for studio work or big band lead.
