Description
This mouthpiece has a semi-flat, very soft rim with some nice undercut for chop room*. This is a low cup-volume design, with a cup shape inspired by the famous “SL” cup. The cup is very shallow (similar to Bach F), but the entrance to the throat is rounded and allows good air flow. Slotting is excellent with the L-BL2S3. The throat is a #27, and the backbore is a Legends S. The design elements of this model maximize endurance, range and sound for the player. The L-BL2S3 is perfect for extended upper register/lead playing.
*The curve of the inside rim makes it difficult to measure accurately. Using standard Legends Brass measurements, it is .618″ (15.70 mm). However, it may feel as large as .630″ (16.00 mm) on the lips.
