The legendary Ray Brooks: solo and lead trumpet player, band leader, conductor and dear friend. Ray was the leader of the Ray Brooks Orchestra, first conductor of the Tennessee Wind Symphony and a long time member of the popular band Boys’ Night Out.This mouthpiece is an homage to a man who influenced many trumpet players along his way. Ray may be gone, but his influence lives on!
The Legends Brooks has a comfortable round rim with a .610″ inside diameter. The cup is an extra shallow V-bowl. Put those elements together with the Legends LA (medium focused) backbore and you have all you need for a solid lead sound ready to step up to a solo anytime.
